For years I have been a dabbling musician with guitar being my instrument of choice. I suppose that I was inspired by the heavy metal bands of my youth, and I always dreamed of changing the world with my music. While life has certainly taken me in a different direction, I still play whenever I can.
During the winter months, I find myself with a bit of free time on my hands, so I try to find myself some projects for me to do. Over the years it has involved woodworking projects, painting (which I failed at miserably), and home renovations. This year I decided to do something a little different that is related to my music, so I have decided that I am going to make my own pedal board.
Since I had no idea as to how to do it, I have been looking online for guide on how to make your own. There are certainly a number of resources out there for this type of project, so it has been a bit of a challenge figuring out which advice to follow.
One of the common threads throughout all of the discussions that I have read has been about the emphasis on using quality pedal board patch cables. Everyone has mentioned how important it is to have the right cables to ensure that you get the best sound quality, and I know that if I am going to take the time to do this project, I want it to sound perfect.
I have bought some patch cables from CovenantCables.com which arrived here yesterday, so tonight I will be working to put everything together.
I can’t wait to try my new pedal board out. I am hoping that the building phase goes without a hitch.
