This year has been a big leap for me as I try out some new technology in an attempt to both get up with the times and step out of my comfort zone.  Up until this year I only considered tech that I needed for business and did not buy any real gadgets for myself.  But as many of my friends have mentioned over the years, if you don’t take the time to learn along the way, you will get left behind.

For me, that isn’t an option.

So one of my “big” first steps into getting out of my comfort zone when it comes to tech is getting my first Segway or hoverboard.  As much as I wanted to try it, I couldn’t fight my thrifty side, so I started to look for a cheap Segway without handles.  I figured that going “handle-less” would make it easier to store in my home.

Being a first time buyer, I knew that I had to make sure to read as many reviews as possible as well as check out a number of review videos to make an informed buying decision.  These toys were not cheap and I wanted to make sure that I bought the best one on the market.

While I haven’t figured out exactly which one to buy, I have a short list that I have been working on, and I plan to make a decision by the end of the week.  Once I get the hang of it, I’ll maybe post a video or two sharing my thoughts on the Segway I end up buying.
