For years I have used wired keyboards and mice with my computer for gaming, but after buying a new desk, I decided that it was time for a change.  You see, there wasn’t really any good way of running wires from my desktop computer to my new desk as the computer was going to sit across the room from me.  The reason for the new setup was that I bought a new 55” television that has now become my computer monitor, and there was no way that I could sit up close to it.

It was too big.

I decided at that point to look into my options when it came to wireless mechanical keyboards. I knew that there were some good ones out there geared specifically towards gamers like myself, so it was just a matter of reading reviews and determining which one would be the best for my needs.  I needed a keyboard that would give me the same performance as a wired keyboard and that had good battery life.

I wasn’t sure if it was going to be hard to find the perfect keyboard, but after reading some reviews over at MechType.com, I found the Filco Majestouch Convertible 2 to be the perfect one for me considering it was a full-sized keyboard that used regular AA batteries.  It was exactly what I was looking for, so I ordered it on the spot.

Once I had the keyboard in-hand, I decided to give it a try and I wasn’t disappointed.  It worked flawlessly on every game I tried it on, from Fallout 4 to Doom.  It was definitely a good investment.
