For years I have been the guy that used Windows based computers. I suppose the only real reason would be that my parents used Windows, and just like most people, I followed in my parents footsteps. But I have always looked at Macs in the store and wondered what it would be like to have one. Just like a child who sees a toy they want and obsesses about it, over the years I kept telling myself that one of these days I would get one.
That day happened a little more than a month ago.
While I did play around with my Macbook for a little while, it really felt foreign to me. I loved how it looked but I didn’t have the time to really sit down to play with the new computer and figure things out.
The problem was that I didn’t know where to start.
But this weekend I decided that I would take the time to learn how to use it. It was doing no good just sitting there on my desk collecting dust, so I needed to change that. I felt a lot more confident that it was going to be easy to learn after picking up an ebook on Mac tips last week. Reading through the guide I learned different ways to make me more productive with OS X.
It didn’t look like it was going to be that hard at all.
So, I am sitting down right after I finish this post – I’m hoping in the next couple of hours I will be able to figure everything out. I really want to use my new Mac.
