Regina Schneider, famed artist from Miami, had the opportunity to participate in Art Basel 2016 and made a stop in Wynwood. There she exhibited her artwork at “Brazuca”, a project organized by her friend Michael Krymchantowski.
Michael Krymchantowski is known as one of the most recognizable people in Wynwood who has made a real difference in the neighbourhood and community. He has actively invested his time in helping “clean up” the area since 2008, back when nobody believed in the area. Instead of turning his back on his community when poverty and violence were a real problem, he decided to make a difference and change his little corner of the world. While there is still work to be done, you can see real change in the district.
Recognizing the work that Michael has done in the community and his love of art, Regina created a unique portrait of him and his fiancée for all of the work that he has done in the community. Presented to him at the event, it is a tribute to the work of someone who has selflessly put his community and neighbourhood first.
We need more community-minded leaders like Michael Krymchantowski who choose to make the world a better place.
