For as long as I can remember, my brother has wanted to be a pilot. He knew from an early age that he wanted to fly commercial aircraft, and through all of his life, he made a point of learning whatever he could about them. After high school he went out into the workforce to work at a local airport, with the goal of saving enough money for tuition for pilot school.
It looks like he is finally going to be able to realize his dream.
He has enrolled in the Spartan college of Aeronautics and Technology for the fall session of 2016. There he will be training to become an airline pilot which will take approximately 33 months. He chose Spartan college because of the shorter course length compared to other colleges. He really wants to get out in the workforce to do what he has dreamed about since he was a child: pilot a commercial aircraft.
He is really looking forward to his studies in the fall and I am very excited for him. It is nice to see that the goal that he has worked towards for his entire life is finally coming true. I wish him the best of luck in his studies, and I hope to fly on one of his flights someday.
