As I have mentioned a few times, I make a point of keeping up on the maintenance of our rental properties. While we only have a few properties, I have always worried about getting behind on the maintenance. I figure if I am proactive with keeping the renal units in good shape, we should never run into a situation that will cause some large financial hardships.
This week, we have a company that specializes in replacement windows Glendale working on our property there. I had not planned to replace any of the windows there this year, but after some vandalism last week, I decided that it made more sense to replace all of the windows if we were going to have someone out anyway.
I am hoping that the window crew will be able to work around our roofing crew that we have out as well. With these two major things done to the property, I am hoping that we will be able to take a break from our maintenance schedule next year and use that money to invest in even more rental properties.
But we will have to see how it goes.
In the meantime, I do have to say that the new windows look really nice – maybe I should have considered doing them sooner.
