This year I decided that I would volunteer some of my time to make the world a better place.  Up until this year I had not given back to my community by serving the people in any kind of capacity, so when the opportunity to volunteer as a youth leader in our church came my way I took it.

The problem was that I didn’t know what I was doing.  It was my first time working in this type of role, and I certainly didn’t have a lot of time to come up with our weekly bible lessons on my own, so I needed to figure out some way to make things happen.

Thankfully, the internet is a wonderful resource and it didn’t take me long to find some youth ministry resources that I could use to help provide meaningful lessons and leadership to the youth under my care.  These lessons not only provided material to help me teach the children about Jesus through weekly bible lessons, but also covered topics that are relevant to today’s teenagers including bullying, internet safety, pregnancy, gambling, and the power of prayer.  In fact, the resource material I found will allow me to be an effective youth leader without having to spend a lot of time on lesson preparation.

Which is exactly what I needed.
